With the event just around 48 hours away, the college is indulging itself in some quite efficient work. Moods in the campus are up beat. People can be seen dancing their way into the washrooms. (They have not gone mad...the cultural reps want a good show to be put up, hence are breathing down people's necks. No offence meant)
The Gulmohar reps are clad in different colors which have managed to find a permanent places on their frames on accord of the decoration work they are indulging themselves in.
The Logistics team is up-beat at the prospect of being up the entire night and making plans to make sure everything is planned to the T
The Hospitality rep can be seen moving around the hostel corridors asking people to vacate their rooms. He has made sure there are couple of "Roomers"(Term for people who help in vacating hostel rooms. Not in anyway related to a "bouncer") following him to every room.
The Alumni reps are frantic and are on the brink of insanity. Although from the looks of it everything is going well they want more perfection to be infused into anything and everything that is a part of the event!!!I really fail to understand how this can be done. But seems they have a way out, or perhaps a way in!!!
People can be seen discussing in low pitches,huddled together, how they can do their part better. I am continually hearing voices discussing apparel selection.
Seniors offering useful advices on how to do it in a better way, lending a hand at more instances than one, is quite encouraging. The camaraderie between the batches pleases me.
All i can say is that both the batches are making quite a effort at making sure the event sees more than fireworks exploding. We eagerly await the arrival of alumni onto the campus.
Thank you for one and all for putting in the effort!!!
P.S:--News Update:---"Jolly-the Doggy" gave birth to 2 pups "yesternight". The pups faced some problems during their birth but presently are doing great. Attention is being diverted periodically from the preparations as students crowd around the mother and the pups making sure they are comfortable and well-fed. It pleases me to see this more than anything.
Lovingly Yours ;
KIAMS.
